2 posts in the same day, wtf?

So yeah, the latest excuse from the NL for going 0-12-1 in the past 13 years...

We are 16 teams, not 14 like the AL, and thus, since we have to have a mandatory representative from each team, we had to choose from the worst teams.

The two worst teams are San Diego and Washington (Lollington). They chose 2 SD players, not just the mandatory one, so CLEARLY both are good (closer Heath Bell, and 1B Adrian Gonzalez, who even though he's the fourth best 1B-man on the roster, after Pujols, Ryan Howard and Prince Fielder... is still really damn good).

Oh, and Washington sent Ryan Zimmerman, one of the best players of this year. So yeah, and he should have started, but no, David Wright is so exciting :P.

Anyway, minor whine, but still...

Subject:Tax the rich to pay for ... everything?
Time:09:54 am

I don't even need to say anything, just look at the last paragraph:

Evasion is another concern experts raise when rates are hiked too high or too frequently. If high income taxpayers feel their tax burden too burdensome, they are more likely to seek out legitimate tax shelters. But also the higher rates go, Kies said, "the more it creates an atmosphere for cheating."

NO FUCKING SHIT. You start punishing people for their success... AGAIN... and since we know all rich people are bad at math and that's how they got rich... they won't be thinking... "Hm, with some clever accounting, I can pay a TON less tax and give the finger to those idiots that think they can steal my hard-earned cash.", but instead: "Oh, gee, gosh, golly, please take my money."

Anyway. Grats.

Maybe, just maybe, if we forbid sexual interactions of any kind, we'll all be happier, no?

It's not enough that we stamp even a "hello" as sexual harassment. Now we need to jump into the general unknown of the brain to determine "thought sexism".

it has been a year... wowza

none of it will matter.

if voting could change anything it would be illegal.

bush sez: "kosovo deserves their independence, and serbia needs to join the EU."

is this man fucking stupid?

i mean the US supported albanian terrorists raping and mugging and killing civilians the SERBIAN PROVINCE OF KOSOVO, illegally starting a war of agression against an independent country defending their borders, murdered tens of thousands of civilians (these are the democrats, mind you, and that troll-faced criminal madeleine albreight)...

and now this brain-dead yahoo suggests this?

well, fuck that, how about canada invades vermont or new hampshire, and then we make a motion to have those independent, since they deserve their independence.

except, you know, not bother with useless stuff like vermont, but an actually important industrial state...

so a 17-year old guy sleeps with a 15-year old girl, and he gets 10 years, and needs to be registered as a sex offender?

is there something I am missing? did he rape her, or something? no, they had a "sexual encounter", which might not even mean sex.

what the fuck? maybe i am missing something.

luckily it seems to have gotten overturned.

maybe something angering?

i am starting to hate people that taunt me with lines like: "it's not always black and white, there's gray areas."

i cannot think of a more incorrect statement. things either are, or are not, the reason they are perceived as gray is because you can't understand the problem enough to characterize as either black or white.

usually, this is given to me when i make a 'blunt' statement about something or other.

so, to summarize: just because you cannot see it, doesn't mean it's not there.

Alright, I am still alive. But busy.

But, penny-arcade did their first ever warhammer 40k comic:

Go here: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/03/05

So that's pretty cool. The conversation is not entirely accurate, but it serves as a good description of one of the reasons war40k is the best universe ever: there's generally no faeries and unicorns type of alliances. Total Galactic War. Many factions. All dark. All brutal. :)

You scored as Ventrue. You belong to the Ventrue bloodline, the aristocrats of the vampire underworld. The Ventrue have a natural dominating power over all other creatures, living and otherwise. For this reason they are almost always in charge of vampire society. They are, however, so accustomed to being fed witha a silver spoon that they have a problem digesting the blood of their "inferiors".

Figures.

I love the Ventrue.

Most people think I should be Malkavian though...

For those that don't know the clans:

Ventrue - Regal, manipulative, powerful
Tremere - Magical, deceptively powerful
Toreador - In love with beauty and themselves.
Brujah - Anarchists (not as hypocritical as most anarchists)
Nosferatu - Disfigured, sadistic
Malkavian - Demented, intelligent, but hard to tell the latter
Gangrel - Animalistic, Feral
